Hispanic American Veterans of CT
The Hispanic-American Veterans of Connecticut, Inc. mission is to provide bilingual (Spanish and English) services to any Connecticut veteran who is actively serving, honorably discharged, or retired, to include members of the immediate family.
Institute for Veterans and Military Families
The institute is the first of its kind and will serve as a national center in higher education focused on the social, economic, education and policy issues impacting veterans and their families post-service. The Institute is focused on educational programming, employment and actionable research, and will provide in-depth analysis of the challenges facing the veteran community, capture best practices and serve as a forum to facilitate new partnerships and strong relationships between the individuals and organizations committed to making a difference for veterans and military families.
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America
IAVA’s mission is to improve the lives of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families. IAVA addresses critical issues facing new veterans and their families, including mental health injuries, a stretched VA system, inadequate health care for female veterans, and GI Bill educational benefits. IAVA also provides valuable resources and empowers veterans to connect with one another, fostering a strong and lasting community.

Military Order of the Purple Heart
Chartered by Congress in 1958, The Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although our membership is restricted to the combat wounded, we support all veterans and their families with a myriad of nation-wide programs by Chapters and National Service Officers.
SemperMax
The mission of SEMPERMAX Support Fund is to enhance morale and welfare of service disabled veterans and their families through peer to peer, on-site visits by other service disabled veterans, trained to motivate and advocate on their behalf, so that they understand they have the continued support of a team. ONE TEAM! In doing so it is our hope that we can reduce isolation, disenfranchisement from society and suicide among veterans and their family members.
Service Woman’s Action Network (SWAN)
SWAN supports, defends, and empowers today’s servicewomen and women veterans of all eras, through groundbreaking advocacy initiatives and innovative, healing community programs. SWAN affects change for servicewomen and women veterans by educating and informing policy makers, the media and the public, engaging military leadership and veterans providers, developing healing and empowering community programs, offering personal support and guidance from fellow women veterans and providing pro bono legal referrals from military law experts.
